Some hands

Not really blogged any hands over the last month... here are a few of the toughest spots I've got into recently. Comments please!

Turn double barrell?
Do you fancy firing $140 on the turn? Are we folding out enough? I'm putting villain on a middle pair type hand. I guess he could have A7 or a set too.

Another double barrell turn Ace vs good player
Good spot to against a 21/17 reg?

Minraise then weak turn bet
Bleh, what does this mean? I don't get it, I mean a weak lead here would probably mean like 87/89 something like that. But he could just check behind here, I guess he's more likely to have a strong hand now? What do u reckon?

QQ preflop line check
TAG 3-bets me, shortie 4-bet shoves. 5-bet over the deep TAG here to isolate against the shortie? Can I fold if the TAG 6-bet shoves me this deep?

Check/fold, his 22/33 is good?
Guy is like 11/7 so I think this is a pretty easy muck given his line.

Here's some Down for BTimm, the gig was awesome!

Yeah, I need to get better at posting some hands, too, as I've kind of drifted off the strat forums, trying to use the time to watch vids. I've dug a few out for Dave, and that's about it. My thoughts on your hands:

1) Against an unknown, I think I'd just give it up. You could maybe push him off a few overpairs, but I think you are getting looked up a fair amount here, and the NFD just hit TP and isn't going away, and of course neither is any hand that hit the flop hard. The fact that he called a raised flop is pretty scary, although it's so draw heavy he should be raising his sets, he may be trying to milk the pot, maybe hoping that SB reraises you. But whatever, he's now sandwiched between the flop bettor and raiser, and doesn't seem too worried.

2) Here I like the barrel. He's got to give you some credit for the ace, and even though he's OOP, if he's good, he realizes there's not much he can do about it, and has to fold quite a number of hands that beat you.

3) I don't know what to make of his line either, but his bet is so small, I think you should call. His play on the flop could have been with a widish range of made hands scared by the board pairing, as well as just milking the pot, of course. But, if he's going to let you see the river for cheap, I would do it, and see what develops there.

4) I'm not really sure on this one, but I think I prefer the 5-bet to isolate line, given the read on SB. And yeah, if he can 6-bet you in this spot, then I would probably make a fold. For that reason, I don't think that your 5-bet needs to be really large, as you are showing a lot of strength just by making it in the first place.

5) Yeah, he's so tight I think it's a muck.

Hey Marc,

Cheers for the comments!

1) Got discussed in dissection #1. Your analysis is spot on.

2) I really don't like the barrell any more I don't think. I think he might look me up with a 9 or J here, or could have floated me on the flop and caught the ace. I think i'm only likely folding out some 9s, weak pairs and air.

3) I completely agree with your analysis here too. Keep the pot small and try to get to a cheap showdown. For some reason I decided to ship it in thinking he was maybe on some sort of weak draw, terrible play. :S

4) Gonna go ahead and do a dissection on this one next... interesting spot.

5) Yea muckity muck. I love this fold.
